"Metamorphosis"


I was thinking back on my experience as an intern, transition to a senior, and the patients I have encountered and their stories that they shared with me. Most of the painting is filled with different shades of red/pink, which represents frustration and struggle as a new intern/new senior. I was trying my best to navigate my new role as a doctor. The blue represents the sadness/sorrow that was shared between me and my patients, especially on patients that I have to transition to hospice. The yellow and orange is almost like the sun at the horizon, and white paint on the sides of the frame represents there is more to come as my journey continues, the pursuit of growth, hope, and the happy moments that I've encountered.
